Leonardo Royal Hotel
St Paul's
(Formerly Grange St. Paul's)
Open 2009
The 28,000 ft2 St Paul's Hotel was completed in 2009 at a cost of about £150M.
It is a new five star hotel designed for both the corporate and tourist market. The design was solely BHA’s responsibility from inception to completion, including all elements of the fabric and interiors. The site is constrained by the 1938 St Paul's Heights Act and the presence of substantial underground chambers containing fragile telecoms infrastructure. The resulting design features a large central atrium flanked by the main guest room wings and containing dramatic glass elevators. In total the building contains 420 guest rooms, substantial conferencing facilities, 2 restaurants, 2 bars, a wellness suite and pool, over 10 levels including 3 basements.
